Classic tourist destination
Tällberg is one of Sweden's classic tourist destinations. The town only has 200 inhabitants, but no less than eight hotels.
"Tällberg has attracted tourists for centuries, which First Hotel Klockargården and First Hotels Villa Långbers are fine examples of. The buildings are from the 17th and 19th century respectively and offer a wonderful atmosphere. They give their guests unforgettable hotel experiences," says Vibeke Raddum, CEO of First Hotels.
First Hotel Gyllene Hornet was already part of the hotel chain portfolio, which means that First Hotels is very well represented in the area.
Local focus
Not surprisingly, Tällberg has been a favourite destination for aesthetes of all kinds, and celebrities such as Wilhelm Moberg, Karl Axel Karlfeldt and Hugo Alfén have all spent time there.
"In the process of choosing a hotel chain to join, it has been essential to find the chain that best accommodates the local nature and distinctive character of the hotels. First Hotels accommodates and encourages this. When we additionally knew that they are among the leaders within distribution, sales and technology, the choice was easy," said Staffan Malmqvist, owner of First Hotel Villa Långbers and majority owner of First Hotel Klockargården.
Both hotels will join the chain with immediate effect.
Wide selection
The hotels focus on conferences and events in addition to the holiday and leisure segment. In total, the two hotels can accommodate more than 400 conference guests and also offer top-quality food.
City and district hotels operate under quite different conditions. We have opted to nurture the things guest often don't get in the cities and focus on recreation. Naturally, we have all the modern conveniences, but also give our guests a break from everyday life by offering tranquillity, fantastic service and a variety of wellness and activity experiences," Malmqvist continues.
Vibeke Raddum from First Hotels is pleased to add the two new Tällberg hotels to the portfolio.
"I've read that if you visit Sweden and Dalarna without visiting Tällberg, it's like attending a wedding without seeing the bride. I fully agree. This is an all-year destination that offers unique experiences," Raddum concludes.
