    Our nearest neighbour is the city’s imposing modern concert hall, Musikkens Hus, which offers highly recommend cultural experiences performed in music venues that offer world-class acoustics. The music programme spans a wide range of genres, and tickets can be purchased online from Musikkens Hus.

    Shopping

    It only takes 5 minutes to walk from the hotel to one of Aalborg’s two main pedestrian streets where you will find a wide range of specialty boutiques as well as popular chain stores and several large department stores.

    If you are spending a city break in Aalborg, please take your time to enjoy the shopping – there are a great many exciting stores to visit as well as inspiring culinary experiences when you need to reboot your batteries.

    Art and architecture play a major role in Aalborg. The Utzon Center, Musikkens Hus and Kunsten are landmark cultural institutions that inspire the cityscape of Aalborg. But there are also many other cultural experiences to explore, and you will be surprised by the great creativity and craftsmanship the city has to offer, such as at the art centre Kunsthal NORD or the urban art of the streets of Aalborg.

    Aalborg Zoo is perhaps Denmark’s best and most actively engaging zoo! Here you will find 11 of the 12 most popular zoo animals as well as hundreds of other species. There are plenty of experiences. You can visit the animal habitats behind the scenes and enjoy the gigantic playground in the heart of the gardens.

    Vikings at Lindholm Høje

    Travel 1,500 years back in time at one of Denmark’s largest and most magnificent Viking burial grounds. Explore what life was like by the local Limfjorden inlet in Viking times at Lindholm Høje. In addition to the extensive burial ground, you will also find a museum featuring two large exhibitions and a Viking shop and café – all just 10 minutes by car from the hotel.
