Things to do around Christianshavn in Copenhagen

Visit Copenhagen and stay at Q Apartment Christianshavn – First Partner Collection. Originally a classic seamen’s neighbourhood, Christianshavn developed a bohemian reputation in the 1970s and is now a fashionable, diverse and lively part of the city with its own distinctive personality. This historic canal district can easily be explored by bike, on foot and from the waterside.

Experience the city from the water side

Copenhagen is an old port city, and one of the most beautiful and enjoyable ways to experience it is from a boat drifting down its charming canals.

Enjoy a traditional canal tour, be the captain of your own solar-powered picnic boat or rent a kayak or SUP. The opportunities to become waterborne are plentiful.

Our Saviour's Church

Every year, more than 200,000 people scale the spiral stairway to the top of the spire of Our Saviour’s Church to enjoy stunning views of Copenhagen. This is not an ascent for the vertiginously challenged!

The iconic spire additionally contains six large church bells. Operating as many as 48 individual bells, the tunes played on the church carillon can be heard all across the neighbourhood.

Krøyers Plads

Krøyers Plads is a new waterfront area that draws summer crowds to its sun-kissed boardwalks and restaurants. The square is a great place to enjoy beautiful views to the footbridge and city, or simply enjoy a picnic. Next to this waterfront area you find the North Atlantic culture centre and the Broens Gadekøkken open-air street food market.
