Standing 122 m tall, the Guldhedstornet water tower is the highest point in Gothenburg. Enjoy endless views of the city from the top of the tower. The Garden Society of Gothenburg (in Swedish: Trädgårdsföreningen) has hardly changed since it was founded by King Carl XIV Johan in 1842. The “Fish Church” (in Swedish: Feskekörka) was built in 1874, is Gothenburg's oldest market hall and Scandinavia’s largest fish market. The building was inspired by the wooden Norwegian stave churches and Gothic stone churches – hence the name “Fish Church”. Buy all kind of fresh seafood delicacies for a big at-home dinner or enjoy freshly prepared fish in one of the two restaurants or as take-away.    

Go boat sightseeing with Paddan canal boats and see the beauty of Gothenburg from the waterside, while learning about the city’s long history of defence and construction. The tour takes you under 20 bridges through the 17-century canals to the harbour.
