Kramfors is located on the High Coast of the Gulf of Bothnia and features amazing scenic nature. First Hotel in Kramfors is a great starting point, whether experiencing the High Coast Bridge, exploring the Skuleskogen National Park or fishing in the Ångerman River. And if you are looking for a brush with history, the memorial to the Ådalen shootings in 1931 is situated just a short drive from our hotel in Kramfors.

High Coast Distillery

High Coast Distillery is beautifully located along the Ångerman River. Here, whiskey is produced as it is known around the world since 2010.

Here you can do a guided tour or have a coffee at the visitor centre whilst overlooking the stunning view of the river. There is a big whisky festival every year with daily shows during spring and summer.


The High Coast Bridge

The High Coast Bridge is the longest suspension bridge, with the length of 1,800 metres, crosses the Ångermanälven river on the border between the unicipalities of Härnösand and Kramfors. It took four years until the building of the bridge was finished in 1997. The bridge is also one of Sweden's tallest structures with bridge piers extending 180 meters above the water.


Mannaminne Museum in the middle of the High Coast is an open-air museum where you can find over 50 buildings with themed museums from various parts of Europe as well as agriculture museum, art museums, a Chinese pavilion, tubewagon, lokomotive and trams. The famous artist Andre Åberg and his wife started to build up this fantastic collection in 1980.

Ådalen Monument is a memorial for what happened in Ådalen 1931 where the military opened fire on a demonstration train and five people were killed. It is a sculpture designed by artist Lenny Clarhäll, cast in bronze with a height of 2.6 meters and a weight of three tons.
